The "Border Sim Flower Festival 2024" is organized on a city scale with the theme "My Fatherland's Border" at a number of tourist attractions in Hai Son commune (Hai Son Commune Cultural - Sports Center, Po Hen National Historical Site; Po Hen Market; Landmark 1347(2); Dang Family Hamlet, Po Hen Village; Ma Thau Son Sim Hill, Luc Chan Village; Hamlet 26 households, Than Phun Village,...).
The festival with rich and healthy cultural, artistic, sports, entertainment and recreational activities imbued with the cultural identity of ethnic groups in accordance with the customs and practices of ethnic minorities in the highlands of Mong Cai City. Specifically, the activities include: men's football, Po Hen fair, festival opening program, rice cake pounding competition, Dao and San Chi ethnic bride makeup competition, culinary exchange, organization of sports activities and folk games, women's football competition, men's and women's spinning top competition, folk art exchange, campfire exchange and bamboo dancing... to attract a large number of people and tourists to visit and experience.

The "Border Sim Flower Festival 2024" is associated with community tourism development activities to continue to concretize and effectively implement Resolutions, Projects, programs and plans on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector and developing the Tra Co National Tourism Area, Mong Cai, Quang Ninh Province by 2025, with a vision to 2030. At the same time, continue to promote the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life" and "All people participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security"; create a joyful and exciting atmosphere and encourage cadres and people of all ethnic groups to continue to organize and successfully implement tasks of economic, cultural and social development, ensuring national defense and security in the area.
In addition, through activities, to preserve, promote, honor, introduce, advertise images, potential advantages and exploit traditional and unique cultural values of ethnic groups in Mong Cai city in general and mountainous border communes in particular; attract tourists to visit, experience, create jobs and increase income for people, contributing to creating momentum to promote socio-economic development of Hai Son commune and Mong Cai city.
