To urgently supply materials and speed up the progress of key transport projects in the Southern region, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committees of the provinces of Dong Nai, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, An Giang, Dong Thap, Soc Trang, and Kien Giang to report to the Prime Minister before March 3 on the results of the implementation of tasks related to site clearance; licensing of exploitation and supply of materials (soil, sand, and stone) for key transport projects in the South.
In which, clearly state the progress and implementation results for each task, reasons for not completing it, responsibilities of relevant groups and individuals and commitment to completion deadline.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Ministry of Transport to report on the overall demand for filling materials, the demand according to the construction progress of key transport projects in the Southern region, especially expressway projects that must be completed in 2025.
Review the Government's directives on assigning tasks (to localities, investors, contractors) in granting mining licenses, in which it is necessary to clarify and individualize the responsibilities of each entity, especially localities. In which, clearly state the reasons for non-implementation or extremely slow implementation.
Recommend to the Prime Minister drastic and thorough handling measures according to Party regulations and laws.
