Attending the signing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung, senior expert of the Center for Innovation, Ministry of Planning and Investment, shared that this event is an important milestone, continuing to promote the good relationship in scientific research cooperation between Vietnam and the US. In particular, at this time, we believe that the good results of the US President's visit to Vietnam will continue to bring good conditions to promote scientific and medical cooperation to quickly achieve success, bringing many benefits to health care and medical examination and treatment for Vietnamese people.

Tam Anh Research Institute – TAMRI is a scientific research institute established from Tam Anh General Hospital System, with the goal of conducting research related to diseases, vaccines; conducting clinical trials of new prevention and treatment methods. According to the cooperation agreement, Stanford researchers will share and coordinate expertise with Tam Anh Research Institute. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Scientific Director of Tam Anh Research Institute, Tam Anh General Hospital System said: “ We will try to increase training exchanges, professional cooperation exchanges between scientists of both sides in Vietnam and the US, further tightening cooperation in science, education, health and economy between the two countries.”

The impressive point in the cooperation between these two research institutes is the participation of artificial intelligence technology engineers. Dr. Luong Minh Thang - Senior AI Advisor of the Stanford Institute for Microbiology and Epidemiology said that artificial intelligence has opened a new era for mankind when taking advantage of the great intelligence of mankind to propose new, faster and more effective applications. Therefore, the application of artificial intelligence in scientific research will contribute to shortening research time, improving efficiency and saving costs. From there, the process of researching and developing drugs and vaccines will be reduced in time and cost.
