The workshop was hosted by Vinh Phuc Newspaper with the theme "Local Party Newspaper with the task of propagating the construction of advanced new rural communes and model cultural villages".
Attending the event on the Central side were comrade Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; representatives of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and central press agencies.
On the side of Vinh Phuc province, there were comrade Pham Hoang Anh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Bui Huy Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.
Attending the workshop were leaders of 25 Party Newspapers from provinces and cities in the Northern region and some provinces in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
The delegation of Nghe An Newspaper led by comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief attended the workshop.
In her opening speech at the workshop, Editor-in-Chief of Vinh Phuc Newspaper Hoang Thi Nhung emphasized: New Rural Development (NRD) is an important National Target Program of the Party in the spirit of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (10th tenure) dated August 5, 2008 on agriculture, farmers and rural areas. To concretize the Resolution, the program is built with a specific set of criteria, with goals and steps for each stage clearly defined, scientifically, and closely following the practical situation.
After more than 12 years, the new rural construction program has achieved "great, comprehensive and historic" results. Our country's rural areas have had remarkable changes in almost all areas, promoting the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, improving farmers' lives, and making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the whole country.
The development of rural areas and agriculture nationwide, especially in the Northern region after more than 12 years of implementing the new rural construction program, is the result of the efforts in leadership, direction and management of Party committees and authorities from the province to the grassroots level; demonstrating the solidarity, unanimity, consensus and determination of the entire political system and all classes of people.
In particular, the important role is played by the support of press agencies in general and local Party press agencies in particular. On the journey of building the new rural areas, Party press agencies across the country and the Northern region have played a good role in bringing the Party's guidelines, the State's policies, and local policies on the new rural construction program into life, promoting effectiveness and efficiency, while at the same time, strongly encouraging all levels, sectors, mass organizations, business communities and people to join hands and unite in building the new rural areas.
In order for the program to truly enter life in a profound way, press agencies, especially Party press agencies, have promptly reflected, providing people across the country with a vivid, panoramic view in many fields, in many localities with profound, meaningful articles and positive, widespread influence. However, looking at it objectively, the results of the new rural construction program are not uniform, some criteria are difficult to maintain, including environmental criteria, increasing people's income...
In his welcoming speech, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee Pham Hoang Anh emphasized: Vinh Phuc is a province located in the Red River Delta, the Northern Key Economic Zone, and the Hanoi Capital Region. In its development history, Vinh Phuc has always known how to exploit its potential and strengths to make worthy contributions to the Central Government in many fields. Before the renovation, Vinh Phuc was one of the few localities honored and proud to have received Uncle Ho eight times to visit, encourage, and commend outstanding achievements in production and combat; Vinh Phuc is also known as the homeland of "household contracts" in agriculture (initiated by the late Provincial Party Secretary Kim Ngoc).
Implementing the renovation policy, especially implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Vinh Phuc continues to be one of the leading localities in industrialization, modernization, and investment attraction. After more than 26 years of re-establishment, Vinh Phuc has been realizing the aspiration of "becoming one of the richest and most prosperous provinces in the North" as advised by Uncle Ho 60 years ago when he visited the province; from a poor, purely agricultural province when it was re-established, Vinh Phuc has made a strong breakthrough, becoming a locality with quite comprehensive development in all fields and is becoming an industrial center for automobile, motorbike, and electronic components production of the whole country, making an important contribution to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
In the current trend, the press is increasingly developing with many changes, propaganda is not simply how to propagate but more importantly, it is necessary to choose issues to bring information to readers most effectively, transforming into action. To do this, Party newspapers need to continue to promote the role of leading official information. To go far, Party newspapers need to connect with each other, especially in the current trend of developing digital press, need to mobilize modern platforms, means, and technologies in production, organization and implementation of news and articles to best meet propaganda work - And seminars like this are very good conditions for us to do that.
At the workshop, representatives of press agencies gave many presentations on related content.
Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Tran Thanh Lam highly appreciated the role of local Party newspapers in propagating the construction of new rural areas. He also pointed out the limitations in propaganda work in this field. In order to effectively carry out propaganda work on the construction of new rural areas in the coming time, he suggested that press agencies continue to promote propaganda to bring the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels into life; create confidence, new momentum, and motivation to seriously and effectively implement the directives, resolutions, conclusions, and regulations of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, especially the Resolution of the 5th Central Committee, Session XIII on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution No. 25 of the 15th National Assembly on approving the investment policy of the National Target Program on new rural construction for the period 2021-2025; Decision No. 318/QD-TTg dated March 8, 2022 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the National Criteria Set for New Rural Communes and the National Criteria Set for Advanced New Rural Communes for the 2021-2025 period and the Politburo's resolutions on the development of economic regions to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Proactively and actively innovate the content and form of propaganda, apply new and modern communication methods, and keep up with the digital transformation trend. Develop a modern communication plan for new rural areas to reach readers ( most rural people have smartphones). Propaganda needs to be vivid, with evidence of actual data...
Continue to perform well the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation; promptly and sharply fight, clearly expose and defeat the plots and tricks of hostile forces that distort and sabotage the Party's ideological foundation, the Party's and State's guidelines, policies and laws, and divide the great national unity bloc, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party's regime and leadership.
The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized: Local Party newspapers must identify propaganda for new rural construction as a regular, long-term task and a political task of the newspaper, and a social responsibility of reporters towards agriculture, rural areas, and farmers.
At the same time, I hope that the Party's press agencies will become increasingly strong, with high quality information and propaganda, continue to strongly arouse national pride, aspirations to rise up, the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, and strive to build an increasingly prosperous and happy country; encourage the entire Party, people and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, continue to firmly step on the path of comprehensive and synchronous innovation, rapid and sustainable development of the country, and successfully achieve the goal of our country becoming a socialist-oriented developed country by the middle of the 21st century.
At the conference, Vinh Phuc Newspaper awarded the rotating flag to organize the 29th Conference of Party Newspapers of Northern provinces and cities to Bac Giang Newspaper.
