Implementing the Campaign “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas”, Son La province has had many creative ways to contribute to building new rural areas in a sustainable direction. Up to now, the appearance of many villages in the area has changed, the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved and enhanced.
In Son La City, the Farmers' Association of Son La province organized training courses to improve knowledge, propaganda and mobilization skills for cadres and members to participate in the emulation movement to build new rural areas. The training course had 114 trainees who were cadres of the Farmers' Associations of districts and cities; Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Farmers' Associations of communes, wards and towns in the province.

Ms. Ho Thi Thanh Hoa, Vice President of the Farmers' Association of Son La province, said: The training conference has many important and necessary contents to equip knowledge and skills for association officials at all levels in propaganda work, mobilizing officials, members and people to actively participate in the emulation movement to build new rural areas at the grassroots level.
The Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Son La province asked the trainees to uphold their sense of responsibility, comply with the conference regulations and enthusiastically participate in exchanges and discussions to clarify difficulties and obstacles at the grassroots level when propagating and mobilizing people to implement the new rural construction program.
During the 1-day training, the lecturers will exchange and discuss contents related to the implementation of the new rural construction movement of Farmers' Association officials at the grassroots level, such as: Changing the mindset of agricultural production to agricultural economic mindset; The role and necessary qualities of people in new rural construction; Monitoring, evaluation and preparation of reports on new rural construction with people's participation; Community leadership skills.

Farmers contribute to building new countryside
Mr. Quang Van Tam, a farmer member of Na Cua village, Chieng Ngam commune, Thuan Chau district, Son La province, shared: We migrated to follow the Son La hydropower project. The lives of people in our village still have many difficulties, people mainly go to work for hire or do business far away. Coming to today's conference, I want to learn more about the new rural criteria to join hands to contribute to the goal of building new rural areas of the village and commune.

Mr. Quach Cong Tien, Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Suoi Bang Commune, Van Ho District, Son La Province, said: Suoi Bang Commune is a commune in Region III that is still facing special difficulties. The commune has only achieved 6 new rural criteria, and there are still many criteria that are difficult to achieve, such as environmental criteria. By participating in the conference, I really hope to learn more about new economic models, especially environmentally friendly agricultural models, developing cultivation, growing fruit trees, and vegetables.

Up to now, the whole Son La province has 65 communes meeting new rural standards, including 4 border communes (Chieng Son, Moc Chau district; Chieng Khuong commune, Muong Sai commune, Song Ma district; Long Phieng commune, Yen Chau district); 08 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; Son La city has completed the task of building new rural areas; the whole province has 154 OCOP products.
The conference aims to foster knowledge, skills in propaganda, mobilization, management and operation for the staff of the Association at all levels in implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the locality. Disseminate the contents of the National Criteria for New Rural Communes and Advanced New Rural Communes for the period 2021-2025 in the province. At the same time, the training conference is also an opportunity for officials and farmer members to exchange and discuss experiences in building New Rural Areas in localities.
