According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in addition to the 30 agencies and units specified in the organizational structure of the Ministry in Decree No. 35/2025, the Ministry will have 80 more agencies and units under its management after coming into operation from March 1.
On March 5, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment issued a document announcing the list of affiliated agencies and units.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in addition to the agencies and units specified in the organizational structure of the Ministry in Decree No. 35/2025, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will have 80 other agencies and units previously under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, now transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
The list of 80 agencies and units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was announced on March 5.
Previously, from March 1, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment officially came into operation. Mr. Do Duc Duy was appointed as Minister of Agriculture and Environment.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has 10 Deputy Ministers, including: Mr. Tran Quy Kien, Mr. Le Cong Thanh, Mr. Le Minh Ngan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tri, Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Mr. Hoang Trung and Mr. Vo Van Hung.
The organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has 30 units, including 26 administrative units that assist the Minister in performing state management functions.
Decree 35/2025 of the Government states that the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is a Government agency performing the function of state management in the following fields: agriculture; forestry; salt industry; fisheries; irrigation; disaster prevention; rural development; land; water resources; mineral and geological resources; environment; hydrometeorology; climate change; surveying and mapping; integrated management of resources and protection of the marine and island environment; remote sensing; state management of public services in the fields under the Ministry's management.
At the same time, the decree also clearly states 45 tasks and powers assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for implementation.

In addition to specialized tasks, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is also responsible for submitting to the Government draft laws, draft resolutions of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and annual law-making plans.
