On June 8 and 9, the Farmers' Association of Bat Xat district held the 10th Congress of the Farmers' Association of the district, term 2023 - 2028. There were 139 delegates representing more than 12,000 members and farmers in the district attending the congress.
During the 2018 - 2023 term, the Farmers' Association at all levels in Bat Xat district continued to innovate its methods of operation in the direction of linking with the socio-economic development of the locality; clearly demonstrating the core role of farmers in building new rural areas; actively and proactively participating in patriotic emulation movements... Notably, the movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", through evaluation, 1,147 households achieved the title of good production and business farmers at all levels, reaching a rate of 8.2% compared to the total number of rural agricultural households. The Association also exploited and managed well the loan capital from banks with a total outstanding debt of more than 278 billion VND for more than 3,000 borrowing households. In addition, the District Farmers' Association also effectively managed the loan capital from the Farmers' Support Fund with 4.29 billion VND to help many members borrow to develop production. Directed 21 farmer association bases in communes and towns to launch and establish 66 branches and professional association groups with 945 members, build 25 skillful mass mobilization models...
With the support of members, during the past term, the Farmers' Association at all levels in Bat Xat district has supported and helped more than 300 farming households escape poverty, and more than 700 poor households improve their housing conditions.
With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Development", for the 2023 - 2028 term, the Farmers' Association of Bat Xat district aims to build an association that is politically strong, organizationally strong, and unified in action; a core center for the farmers' movement and the construction of new rural areas. By 2028, more than 12% of agricultural households, farmers, and rural areas will meet the standards of excellent production and business titles at all levels. Every year, each association establishes 1 - 2 branches and professional farmer association groups; builds at least 5 models and tasks on agricultural production development, environmental protection, and new rural construction; 100% of branches have operating funds. At the same time, strive to admit 1,750 members; each branch introduces at least 1 outstanding member to the Party Committee for consideration of admission.
With the spirit of solidarity, democracy and responsibility, the Congress elected 29 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Bat Xat district, term X, 2023 - 2028; elected the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of the district, term X, consisting of 7 comrades; elected the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the district, term X; elected the delegation to attend the Congress of the Farmers' Association of Lao Cai province, term 2023 - 2028.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the District People's Committee and the District Farmers' Association for their outstanding achievements in the association's work and farmers' movement for the 2018-2023 term.
