(Dan Tri) - During the STEM festival at primary schools in Ngu Hanh Son district (Da Nang), students participated in fun chemistry experiments, controlled robots and performed basic programming.
On March 22, more than 2,000 students, parents and teachers from primary schools in Da Nang City participated in the Primary STEM Festival for the 2024-2025 school year. The event was co-organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City.
Primary School STEM Festival is an annual activity to create a playground for science, creativity, discovery and practical application for students.
This year, with the theme "Fun Science - Endless Creativity", the event offers a variety of STEM exchange activities for students in grades 3, 4, and 5.
During the festival, students participated in fun chemistry experiments. From interesting chemical reactions to making mini circuits, water rockets or lava lamps, each experimental table attracted the attention of many students, helping them directly observe and participate in the process of scientific discovery.
Students also get to control the robot and do basic programming. The activity helps students approach technology in an intuitive way and try out many modern technology applications.
Mr. Ta Tu Binh, Vice Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee, said that STEM is not only an advanced educational method but also a tool to help students practice logical thinking, problem-solving skills, teamwork and unlimited creativity.
Mr. Binh hopes that after this festival, the STEM teaching and learning movement in primary schools will further develop, creating a solid foundation for students to explore and conquer the fields of science and technology in the future.
