The school's announcement included a fake school document that the subjects had created to defraud students.
The introduction of the "UK Student Exchange Programme 2026" is based on the announcement of the British Embassy in Vietnam on the UK Government's provision of short-term scholarships. The number of short-term candidates is 15.
Candidates are students of Foreign Trade University (Business Administration), health classified as type I, II based on health examination certificate according to Circular 15.
According to this fake document, the exchange program is 100% supported by the UK Government, including round-trip international airfare, tuition fees, and living expenses during the entire study period. The program lasts 3 months, and all remaining expenses will be covered by the school.
To participate in the program, the scammers require students to prepare documents including a resume and a statement proving financial capacity. In particular, students need to have at least 200 million VND in their bank accounts.
Regarding this document, Foreign Trade University affirms that the school does not implement any cooperation program as stated in the above image. At the same time, students are advised to absolutely not transfer money or ask relatives to transfer money when receiving suspicious notifications.
The school notes that when receiving any calls, messages, emails or information related to scholarships, tuition fees, finances, etc., students need to verify the information through official channels, the official phone numbers of the school's units posted on official channels or contact the Student Affairs Department.
Previously, many higher education institutions such as the National Economics University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, FPT University, etc. also continuously issued warnings, reminding students to be vigilant against fraud in the form of announcements of students winning scholarships, and fake information about international student exchange meetings.
