Press conference for the first two months of 2024

This morning, March 13, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Journalists Association to organize a conference to review press work in January and February 2024 and orient some key tasks in the coming time. In January and February 2024, local press agencies focused on disseminating outstanding results in socio-economic development in 2023 and the atmosphere of spring preparation and welcoming the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin of all classes of people; informing about visits and New Year greetings of provincial leaders to families of policy beneficiaries and cadres and soldiers protecting the Fatherland's borders.

The programs and spring issues published with rich and lively content create an atmosphere to welcome the new spring; many news and articles in the columns have focused on reflecting the changes of the province in various fields; reflecting many traditional cultural festivals and sports activities organized in localities in the province have created a unique picture of Quang Tri festivals during the New Year, contributing to preserving and promoting the beauty of traditional culture as well as the need to enjoy culture, entertainment and recreation of all classes of people...

The central and sectoral press in the province have actively followed the locality, reflected important political events, and provided timely and comprehensive information in all fields. In addition, they have reflected a number of issues of public concern such as the situation of firecrackers; large-scale illegal land exploitation in Gio Linh district; traffic insecurity in the province; the reality of some ethnic minority people living on both sides of the Vietnam-Laos border going to Dong Ha city to beg for food... The state management of press, information and propaganda by agencies and units has been effective.

In the coming time, local and central press will continue to focus on disseminating the results of research, dissemination, study, and implementation of resolutions and conclusions of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee; Party building work; and action programs of all levels, sectors, localities, and units.

Promote anniversaries and major holidays of the homeland, country and sectors. Continue to promote the implementation of key projects in the province. Promote the role of "creative journalism, solution journalism" in participating in forecasting the situation, proposing solutions to implement goals and tasks for the 2020-2025 term, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility in performing public duties of cadres, civil servants and public employees. Advise on communication work for the 2024 Festival for Peace, which will take place for the first time in the province.

Concluding the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Ho Dai Nam emphasized that, in addition to the 10 key tasks set out, in the coming time, press agencies need to focus on promoting the article "Proud and confident under the glorious flag of the Party, determined to build an increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic Vietnam" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Summarizing 3 years of implementing Conclusion 01/KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on "Continuing to implement Directive 05/CT/TW on promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" and the 2024 theme of Quang Tri province "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity"; commemorating the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam on July 21 (1954-2024). Strengthening the dissemination of the results of the workshop "The Lao Bao - Densavan Joint Cross-Border Economic - Trade Zone from Idea to Reality"...
