The International Exhibition on Nonwoven Fabrics and Hygiene Technology (GENTEXH 2025) opened on the morning of March 12, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

In her opening speech, Ms. Do Thi Minh Tram - Deputy Director of the Department of Green Transformation Innovation and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - said that currently, the nonwoven fabric industry is developing strongly globally thanks to its diverse applications, along with increasing demand in the fields of medicine, hygiene, agriculture and industry.
The global nonwoven fabric market is estimated to reach USD 57.14 billion by 2024 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.02% to reach USD 76.54 billion by 2029. The Asia-Pacific region shows strong growth potential due to the significant increase in demand for hygiene products, especially in countries with large consumption such as India and China.

Besides, the development of industries such as automobile, agriculture, geotextile and industrial manufacturing is also driving the demand for nonwoven fabrics, thanks to outstanding properties such as high durability, light weight, flexibility, environmental friendliness, cost-effectiveness and ensuring hygiene and safety.
In Vietnam, the non-woven fabric market is also showing signs of catching up with the global trend of using environmentally friendly products with diverse applications. Although the domestic market is full of potential, the number of non-woven fabric factories in Vietnam is still limited. Domestic enterprises still face many challenges in accessing modern technology and advanced machinery to improve product quality and meet international standards.
