Nga Son Street is also a place to educate revolutionary traditions, remembering the blood sacrifices of cadres and soldiers of Ba Dinh Battalion, and of Nga Son children.

During the 1968 Mau Than campaign, the Ba Dinh Battalion had 187 heroic soldiers sacrificed on the sacred land of Que Chu (Huong Chu), including 46 soldiers from Nga Son (Thanh Hoa) who died in the battle on February 4.

To commemorate the great contributions of those who fell, in 2010, the government and people of Nga Son district and Huong Tra town built a memorial stele for heroic martyrs in Que Chu residential group.

To further strengthen the traditional sisterhood relationship between Nga Son district and Huong Tra town, in 2018, the two localities invested in a road leading to the Memorial Monument, 550m long and 750m wide, starting at Ly Nhan Tong street, ending at the intersection of the road to Que Chu village and named it Nga Son road.

“The project is a symbol of patriotism, a place to forever pay tribute to and remember the heroic martyrs who fell to contribute to the glorious victory of our army and people in Huong Tra in particular, national independence, freedom and unification in general. At the same time, it is also a place to educate revolutionary traditions, remember the blood sacrifices of cadres and soldiers of Ba Dinh Battalion, and of Nga Son children for future generations”, Mr. Le Hong Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of Huong Tra City Party Committee shared.

In order to contribute to speeding up the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Huong Tra area, on this occasion, the Party Committee, government and people of Nga Son district supported 180 million VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for 3 households in Huong Chu ward.
