Disbursement of capital for 03 national target programs by March 14, 2025 reached over 20.9 billion VND; of which: The national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas disbursed nearly 15 billion VND; The national target program for new rural construction disbursed over 3.8 billion VND; The national target program for sustainable poverty reduction disbursed nearly 2.4 billion VND, reaching 100% of the plan.

Comrade Hong Ngoc Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, informed about the socio-economic development situation.

Economic growth (GRDP) in the first quarter is estimated at 9.1%, compared to the same period increased by 13.93%, of which: region I, increased by 3.76%, especially the output of some agricultural products higher than the same period such as: food coloring increased by 28,192 tons, coconut increased by 2,932 tons, fruit trees increased by 2,586 tons, buffalo and cow herds increased by 2,737 heads, poultry increased by 120,000 heads, seafood output increased by 602 tons...

Comrade Le Thanh Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh province, spoke about the situation of mobilizing and implementing capital sources from the Social Security Fund.

Sector II increased by 16.04%; in which, the industrial sector increased in all 4 groups compared to the same period (industrial group of production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning). The construction sector was focused on implementing a number of important projects such as: Provincial Road 915B phase 2; traffic infrastructure connecting the center of Tra Vinh city, Chau Thanh and Cang Long districts with National Highway 60 and National Highway 53 phase 2; freshwater reservoir infrastructure along the Lang The river to ensure water security in Cang Long and Chau Thanh districts and Tra Vinh city phase 1; upgrading and expanding Vo Van Kiet roads and bridges, agricultural production infrastructure projects. Sector III increased by 7.43%, compared to the same period by 3.24%.

Comrade Tran Phong Ba, Chairman of Cau Ke District People's Committee, commented on the implementation of health insurance in the area.

In addition, the province pays attention to implementing social security well. In particular, in the first quarter of 2025, businesses have done a good job of taking care of Tet for workers and laborers.

Vocational training institutions have organized recruitment consultation and training at all levels for 435 people. In March 2025, new jobs were created for 556 workers, and 213 workers were sent to work abroad under contracts. Up to now, new jobs have been created for 2,173 workers, reaching 9.45% of the plan, and 394 workers were sent to work abroad under contracts, reaching 43.7% of the plan. 958 workers were provided to companies and enterprises in the province.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Bach Van, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Education and Training, commented on the financial situation of implementing exam review work for grade 12 students.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Thien directed: provincial departments, branches and localities to focus on accelerating site clearance for key projects; completing socio-economic development targets. Focus on completing procedures to adjust the name of the investor, hand over the project to continue implementation, not interrupting the project progress affecting the overall disbursement progress. The Vice Chairman requested to reorganize commune-level administrative units and build a two-level local government model according to the Government's direction. Continue to focus on implementing key contents in the second quarter of 2025; closely monitor the agricultural production situation, especially adjusting the production structure and crop calendar; proactively prevent dangerous diseases in livestock during the changing seasons; measures to respond to and prevent natural disasters and saltwater intrusion.

Localities effectively implement irrigation work in the fields to ensure agricultural production; clean water supply situation, absolutely not let people lack clean water to use. Focus on developing enterprises, OCOP products; preparation for high school graduation exams. Carry out well the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations promptly, in accordance with regulations...

The conference approved a number of contents to be submitted to the 21st session (special session) - Provincial People's Council, term X.
