(NLDO) - Through Khanh Hoa tourism hotline, many cases have been resolved, including the case of a tourist who booked a room through an app and paid but had no room.
Accordingly, tourist Nguyen Minh Duong reported to Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper that he booked a room at the Imperial Nha Trang Hotel in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa) through an application named V. on January 28 with a specific payment code.
After paying nearly 1 million VND, Mr. Duong received a text message and email from the app about a successful room reservation with code A2501... at the above hotel for the night of January 31.
At 2:00 p.m. on January 31, when Mr. Duong arrived to check in at the Imperial Nha Trang Hotel, the receptionist informed him that the room had been canceled. The hotel contacted V. and V. sent a document stating that the room had been canceled.
"I was not notified by V. of the room cancellation via text message or email as I had successfully transferred the money and booked the room. I was upset and called the Khanh Hoa tourism hotline to report the above situation," said Mr. Duong.
According to Mr. Duong, he was very upset because the money had been successfully transferred, but there was no room. His family had gone to all the hotels in Nha Trang by themselves but there was no room.
By the evening of January 31, after the Khanh Hoa tourism industry received the information, V. had a staff member call Mr. Duong's phone number to apologize and hope that Mr. Duong would forgive the incident. V. would refund the room reservation fee, 30% penalty, and 200,000 VND for the customer's travel expenses.
"I don't want customers to be in the same situation as my family, wandering around all morning looking for a room even though they had booked in advance. I hope that through this incident, services need to put quality and reputation first," said Mr. Duong.
In addition to the hotline, Khanh Hoa also has a Tourist Support Center located on Tran Phu Street - Nha Trang City.
Most of the customers' needs are requests for information about areas, attractions, entertainment in Nha Trang, routes, currency exchange points...
In addition to the above incident, the Tourist Support Center hotline has received another incident of tourists reporting that the banh can restaurant at 7C To Hien Thanh Street sells at high prices and charges extra during Tet. The Tourist Support Center has forwarded it to relevant authorities to coordinate timely handling for tourists.
