The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway is 69km long. Of which, the section through Binh Duong is about 52km (expected to start construction in early 2025), the section through Binh Phuoc is 7km long and about 2km through Ho Chi Minh City.
The project has a total investment of more than 17,400 billion VND, implementation period 2024-2027, capital recovery in 32 years and 7 months. In the first phase, the route has 4 lanes and will be upgraded to 6 lanes in the next investment phase, maximum speed 100km/h.
The section through Binh Phuoc province is invested by the Binh Phuoc Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
In phase 1, the project will clear an 80m wide area, invest in 4 full expressway lanes (with continuous emergency lanes), parallel roads on both sides with a width of 11m and sidewalks of 6m, and a design speed of 100km/h.
This section is invested in the form of public investment with a total capital of 1,474 billion VND, of which central capital is 1,000 billion VND and local capital is 474 billion VND. The project implementation period is from 2024-2026.
In Binh Phuoc province, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, when put into operation, will be a vital route connecting the Southeast region.
At the same time, the project also helps shorten the time from Binh Phuoc to Long Thanh airport, Cai Mep - Thi Vai port, reducing logistics costs for businesses.
Binh Phuoc is currently increasingly developing transport infrastructure and attracting investment.
On this occasion, the investor also presented many gifts to 18 households in the project area.
Becamex - Binh Phuoc Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company also donated 500 solidarity houses, worth a total of 40 billion VND, to join hands with the locality to take care of the lives of people in Binh Phuoc.
In addition to the above project, Binh Phuoc is preparing to start the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project, 129km long, of which the section passing through Dak Nong is 27.8km long, passing through Binh Phuoc is 101km long with a total investment of VND25,540 billion. The State capital participation is VND12,770 billion and the investor capital is VND12,770 billion.
