Hanoi arranges 30 police stations at 30 old district police stations

On March 2, Hanoi City Police held a conference to disseminate and deploy a number of key tasks and contents after streamlining the organizational structure.

Accordingly, from March 1, Hanoi Police have dissolved 30 district-level police stations and affiliated organizations (except for Police Stations); merged the Security Police Department and the Mobile Police Regiment into the Mobile Police Department.

The City Police also arranged 30 facilities located in districts, towns and cities to carry out tasks and assigned a Deputy Chief of Staff to directly take charge of the facility.

Regarding the organizational structure, after Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung (Director of the City Police) was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the Minister of Public Security issued a decision to assign Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung (Deputy Director of the Hanoi Police) to run the Hanoi City Police from March 1, 2025 until a new leader is appointed.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung requested units to immediately get to work; organize meetings, discuss and assign specific and detailed tasks to each officer and soldier; strengthen inspection work, promptly detect and rectify units...

At the same time, units need to focus on guiding commune-level police to implement according to decentralization, not allowing areas, fields, or cases or subjects to be left blank.

Regarding criminal proceedings, crime prevention and control, execution of sentences and judicial support, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung directed the Office of the Investigation Police Agency and units to continue to strictly implement the work of receiving reports and denunciations of crimes; urgently instruct investigators and investigation officers to carry out procedures for assigning deputy heads and investigators.

Check and verify preliminary denunciations and reports of crimes by commune-level police, resolve denunciations and reports of crimes and investigate criminal cases by investigators and investigation officers at commune-level police.
