This model not only helps increase people's income but also contributes to promoting local agricultural products and culture.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, residing in Phan commune, Duong Minh Chau district, Tay Ninh province, takes care of the fruit garden to welcome tourists.
Farmer guides
From farmers who are attached to their fields and gardens, they have now taken on a new role - enthusiastic tour guides. With a unique combination of clean agricultural products and experiential tourism, they not only create quality products but also give visitors the opportunity to witness the farming process, directly participate in care, harvest and explore the simple beauty of rural life. From there, they contribute to promoting the beauty and sustainable value of Tay Ninh agriculture.
In Tay Ninh, one of the most impressive agricultural models combined with experiential tourism is the woody grape garden intercropped with golden star apples of Mr. Nguyen Van Thong (65 years old, residing in Phan commune, Duong Minh Chau district). From a pure farmer, Mr. Thong has become a creative farmer, always researching, learning and applying advanced farming techniques to develop clean agriculture.
After his success with the wild grape garden, Mr. Thong decided to "play big" with rare tree species in Tay Ninh. Mr. Thong researched and experimented with growing woody grapes - a unique variety originating from South America, combined with golden star apple - a fruit with high nutritional value but requiring meticulous care techniques.
As a result, his garden has become a vivid natural picture with clusters of plump black grapes growing close to the tree trunks, blending with the golden color of ripe, sweet star apples. Not only is it a place to produce quality agricultural products, the garden has also become an attractive destination for visitors from near and far who want to witness the unique tree planting model, listen to passionate farming stories and enjoy clean fruit right in the garden.
What is special is that Mr. Thong’s family not only do farming but also act as dedicated guides. They share about the farming process, how to use organic methods to protect crops, as well as the secret to combining agriculture with tourism to increase the value of products. Thanks to that, the garden not only brings a stable source of income but also helps visitors have more interesting experiences and understand more about clean agriculture.
Similarly, in Tan Loi hamlet, Tan Hung commune, Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province, under the green shade of the nearly 5-hectare Ba Phong mulberry garden, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vu, 56 years old, an agricultural engineer, and his wife are also known to tourists as famous "farmer tour guides" in Tay Ninh. This place is not only an ideal destination to experience clean agriculture, but also gives visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and explore the process of growing mulberry according to the Japanese natural model.
The plump, sweet clusters of mulberries not only crystallize the flavor of the fertile Tay Ninh land but are also the result of Mr. Vu’s nearly 20-year research journey. What’s special is that the mulberry garden not only provides fresh fruit, but also processes it into typical products such as mulberry juice, jam and wine – attractive gifts from the countryside for tourists.
Mr. Vu said that by applying clean farming methods without pesticides, he not only creates safe products but also contributes to protecting the environment.
With enthusiasm and passion, he combines agriculture with eco-tourism, not only increasing family income but also spreading the value of clean agricultural products to domestic and foreign tourists. The green space here is not only a tourist attraction, but also a living classroom, helping the younger generation better understand the value of sustainable agriculture.
With perseverance, creativity and innovation, the farming and tourism approach of garden "guides" like Mr. Thong and Mr. Vu has turned their garden into a typical model of agriculture combined with tourism, opening up a sustainable direction not only for their family but also inspiring many other farmers in the area. These lush green gardens are not only his pride but also a special highlight on the eco-tourism map of Tay Ninh.
