The epicenter of the earthquake was in the town of Yesilyurt in Malatya province, while Adiyaman province was also affected, according to the source. Both provinces were hit by a devastating earthquake in February 2023 that killed about 50,000 people in Türkiye and Syria.
Private television station NTV reported some damage to several buildings due to the earthquake.
Meanwhile, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) recorded a magnitude 5.2 earthquake in eastern Türkiye on August 10. According to EMSC, the earthquake had a focal point at a depth of 11 km.
