The recently launched -196 product is a clear example of the company's pioneering steps in approaching users in an innovative way and bringing experiences closer to users in developed markets. The -196 product with modern cold grinding technology, has been successful in demanding markets such as Japan, the US, the UK, and Australia, and is now officially available in Vietnam.
The fruit is frozen at -196°C, then crushed and soaked in vodka, preserving the fresh and distinctive flavor. Based on the Seikatsusha philosophy - focusing on the whole person, understanding and accompanying to meet all aspects of life - this is one of the innovations to diversify the choices for consumers, bringing a unique enjoyment experience, suitable for every moment in life, from relaxing moments to gatherings with friends.
With two popular flavors, Lemon and Peach, -196 is a 4.8% alcoholic beverage developed to harmonize with the sophisticated taste of Vietnamese people. The product launch not only marks a strong step forward for Suntory PepsiCo but also affirms its strength in promoting the development of the domestic beverage industry through continuous diversification of product portfolio.

Continuously improve products and sustainable packaging
The spirit of innovation is not only reflected in products but also in the development of production and business along with a commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.
The spirit of innovation and creativity is also demonstrated throughout the value chain, from product research and development to the company's sustainable development activities focusing on 6 pillars that create positive impacts for the environment and community.
The company started its journey to promote sustainable packaging, contributing to reducing carbon emissions into the environment early through innovation to increase the recyclability of packaging; reduce the amount of virgin plastic used in packaging and promote initiatives to make packaging from recycled plastic. This effort helps reduce more than 5,000 tons of plastic annually, equivalent to reducing 23,000 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions into the environment.
Suntory PepsiCo is the first company in the beverage industry to introduce products with packaging made from 100% recycled plastic in Vietnam in 2022, and will continuously introduce more innovations in the following years, such as Oolong TEA+ tea with completely recycled plastic packaging in 2023.
The company has continuously expanded its product portfolio by launching healthy sugar-free, low-sugar and vitamin-enriched products such as Pepsi Zero, Revive Zero Calories, TEA+ Green Oolong and 7 Up Soda Lemon Sugar Free, with improved formulas to bring new experiences to consumers. Commitment to long-term investment in Vietnam

Last April, the company started construction on its factory in Long An, its sixth and largest investment project in the company’s three decades of operations in Vietnam. With a capacity of up to 800 million liters per year, it is the group’s largest factory in the Asia-Pacific region. The new factory is expected to increase production capacity and apply advanced technology to meet the growing needs of consumers.
