According to the announcement of changes in shareholder structure, Unicoh Specialty Chemicals Co., LTD, a Korean enterprise operating in the chemical sector, is no longer a major shareholder at Nam Kim Steel.
The main reason is that this Korean shareholder did not participate in buying shares in the recent capital increase of Nam Kim Steel Corporation (Stock code NKG).
Specifically, on February 27, Nam Kim Steel announced that it had offered 131.6 million shares to existing shareholders at VND12,000/share, expected to raise VND1,580 billion. This capital is to serve the investment plan for the Nam Kim Phu My Steel Roofing Sheet Factory in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Due to not participating in the purchase in the issuance, the number of NKG shares held by Unicoh Specialty Chemicals remains unchanged, 15.897 million units, equivalent to 5.03% of the old charter capital (calculated on the total number of 315.9 million NKG shares as of December 25, 2024). After the issuance, the total number of shares of Nam Kim Steel is 447.57 million units, and the ownership ratio of Korean shareholders is reduced to 3.55% of capital.
On the stock market, NKG shares are trading at 16,100 VND/share, with good liquidity of more than 9.3 million units/session (calculated in the most recent week).
