Today, December 19, a delegation from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense led by Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, organized gratitude activities in Quang Tri province. Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Duc Thang joined the delegation.
As part of a series of activities organized by the Ministry of National Defense to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944 - 2023) and the 34th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22 (1989-2023), on this occasion, the delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense came to offer incense, flowers, and commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Road 9 and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.

At the same time, he visited and presented gifts to 2 war invalids and sick soldiers in difficult circumstances in Quang Tri town; authorized the Provincial Military Command to present 18 gifts to policy families and meritorious people in the province.
Visiting policy beneficiaries, Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son expressed his deep gratitude for the contributions of war invalids, sick soldiers, and revolutionary families in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
At the same time, he affirmed that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense always pay special attention to and care for policy work and people with revolutionary contributions, and hope that through practical and meaningful activities, they will contribute to sharing and encouraging families to improve their lives.
Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son also hopes that families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions in Quang Tri will always promote revolutionary traditions, be shining examples for future generations to learn from and follow, and contribute to building their homeland to develop more and more.
