Updating the situation of the Russia-Ukraine war, TASS news agency (Russia) quoted a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense saying that combat units of the "Southern" group of troops - the Russian Army defeated the Guard Brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with the Unmanned Vehicle Brigade and the National Guard Brigade of Ukraine.
"Units of the 'Southern' group of troops have gained advantageous positions and lines, defeating five brigades, including the one guarding the General Staff of Ukraine, in the areas of Eversk, Verkhnekamenskoye, Poltavka, Zelenoe Pole, Dzerzhinsk, Novomarkovo, Kramatorsk, Chasov Yar and Ivanopolye in the Donetsk region," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The RG newspaper (Russia) added that the command post of the Guards Brigade of the Ukrainian General Staff was also destroyed.
The moves come as Russia and Ukraine hold separate talks with the United States to seek a peaceful solution to the conflict.

Ukrainian losses in the upper direction during the day were 70 troops, 3 tanks, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 11 armored fighting vehicles, 3 obstacle vehicles, 7 motor vehicles and 4 field guns.

Mr. Zelensky: Ukraine receives new batch of F-16 aircraft
The Ukrainian Air Force has received a new batch of F-16 fighter jets, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, European Pravda reported.
“More F-16s have arrived in Ukraine. The Russians are lying that they shot down something, they didn’t shoot down anything. But the good news is that some F-16s have arrived in Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
The president did not specify the number of fighter jets received.
Ukraine received the first Dutch fighter jets in October 2024 and the second batch was delivered in early February.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with his Belgian counterpart Theo Francken in mid-February and discussed further deployment of the F-16 program.
