Meeting to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam Photography Tradition Day

DTO - On the morning of March 12, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Dong Thap province held a meeting to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam Photography Tradition Day (March 15, 1953 - March 15, 2025). Attending the meeting were Musician Nguyen Duy Trung - Chairman of Dong Thap Literature and Arts Association, along with many Photographic Artists and representatives of photography clubs in the province.

This meaningful event aims to widely promote the traditional day, affirm the Party and State's interest in photography, and at the same time evaluate the outstanding achievements of Dong Thap Photography and future development orientation.

At the meeting, the artists reviewed the ups and downs of Dong Thap Photography's history, from the heroic years of resistance to the work of building a new and integrated homeland; shared creative experiences, discussed training and fostering successors, and evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of the province's photography activities. This was an opportunity for the province's photography team to look back at themselves, draw valuable lessons, and then propose directions for future development.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Dong Thap Literature and Arts Association presented the Decision to confer the title of Excellent Photographer of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) to Photographer Doan Hong. At the same time, the Decision to admit members and confer the title of Vietnam Photographic Artist (A. VAPA) in 2024 was presented to Photographer Hieu Minh Vu.
