Standing out here is the Quy Nhon University library with its unique architectural beauty, one of the school's important facilities, not only serving the needs of learning and research but also contributing to preserving and promoting the value of books and scientific documents. The project consists of two main three-storey buildings. Each building is 30m long and 27.5m long, 12m wide, with a chapel in the center. This place was originally Quy Nhon Major Seminary, taken over by the University of Education (the predecessor of Quy Nhon University) after 1975. Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan.
The building was assigned by Bishop Tardieu to Father Dorgeville to build in 1930 to replace Dai An Seminary and put into use from 1932.
The central ground floor building has a sophisticatedly designed column and roof system. The wooden columns are 8m high, and the truss system (part of the roof structure) is carved with patterns. The two blocks on both sides stand out with their arched roof architecture connecting along the corridor, creating an airy space and adapting to the tropical climate. Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan
The antique wooden doors, standing out against the cool green walls, are not only a unique design feature but also create an inspiring learning space. Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan
The library's staircase also has an antique look with many details. Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan
After 1975, when Quy Nhon University took over the premises of the Major Seminary, the building was converted into a library to serve the learning and research needs of students. Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan
This place has long been chosen by many students as a place to study and read. Quy Nhon University Library is also open to visitors during office hours. Photo: Nguyen Phan Dung Nhan
