Kathryn Rawlins is a teacher at a secondary school in Atherstone, Warwickshire, Western England. According to her, 30 years ago, when she was 15 years old, on her way home from school, Kathryn Rawlins and two friends accidentally found a strange object half buried in the ground.

The three of them decided to dig up the object. One of Kathryn’s friends confirmed that it was an ordinary iron vase. So Kathryn Rawlins took it home, and then she often used it as a flower vase.

Kathryn Rawlins told Dailymail: “ It took me and two friends a few days to dig up this iron pot. One friend took off the top of it. I kept this pot for 30 years.”

Kathryn used this vase from high school, to college, to getting married and having children. It was not until one day that Kathryn happened to watch a documentary about World War I on TV. In it, a clip of the bombs dropped by German planes on Coventry caught her attention. Kathryn was immediately shocked to realize that she had been using an unexploded bomb to hold flowers.

Kathryn quickly called the police and described the bomb carefully. The bomb was about 30 cm long, 8 cm wide, had a conical tip and could be disassembled, had letters engraved on the outside of the shell and was especially heavy. At the same time, Kathryn took a picture of the "flower vase" and sent it to the police. A while later, bomb disposal experts came to Kathryn's house. They removed all the explosives inside and returned the empty shell of the bomb to her.

Police said that if the bomb had exploded, it would have blown up Kathryn's house and killed anyone within 20 meters. Fortunately, Kathryn and those around her have not had any unfortunate incidents in the past 30 years.
