From dedicated teacher to exemplary Youth Union officer award 2025

Choosing the teaching profession, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep clearly understood the responsibilities and difficulties he would face. After working at Hoa Binh Primary School (Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai) for a while, this teacher born in 1995 was elected as Secretary of the Youth Union.

While teaching and taking on the work of the school's Youth Union and Pioneers, at first, he encountered many difficulties: the school had two campuses, large class sizes, many students with special circumstances, the learning environment needed to be improved, and especially how to innovate teaching methods effectively.

Mr. Hiep shared: "I want every student to feel like this is their second home when they enter the classroom, where they are listened to, understood and develop comprehensively. And when they feel safe and happy, going to school every day will be a joy for them."

With the view that "Every day at school must be a happy day", he constantly seeks out advanced teaching methods to help students acquire knowledge proactively and enthusiastically.

He has implemented the model "Creating a happy classroom", creating a learning environment where every student feels safe, respected and has the opportunity to develop themselves.

In addition, Mr. Hiep has boldly applied modern educational methods, teaching through projects and promoting critical thinking in each lesson. This model helps students not only acquire knowledge but also practice problem-solving skills, creative thinking and teamwork skills - important factors that help them develop comprehensively in the new era.

Journey of sowing seeds in Youth Union work

Besides teaching, Mr. Hiep is also an enthusiastic Secretary of the Youth Union. Youth Union work has never been easy, especially when it comes to attracting student participation in the era of rapidly developing technology.

But with perseverance and creativity, the young teacher has turned Union activities into meaningful experiences, attracting a large number of union members and students to participate.

He added: "Education is not just limited to the classroom. It is about accompanying and protecting children and helping them stay safe on their journey to school.

Teachers will play the role of volunteers in green shirts to guide and support the students to accompany them when they go to class, when they go to school, and when they leave school.

Ensuring safety and reducing traffic accidents as well as giving children the confidence that they always feel safe when going to school".

With the teacher's initiative, the Youth Union of Hoa Binh Primary School has organized many meaningful programs such as revolutionary tradition education topics, trips to the source, and volunteer activities to help disadvantaged children.

In particular, the plan "For the safety of juniors every day at school" initiated by the teacher has helped hundreds of students equip themselves with knowledge about traffic safety, preventing abuse and basic self-defense.

This is not only an educational program but also a shield to protect students, helping them to be more confident on their journey to adulthood.

Every year, during the summer, he and the Youth Union members carry out youth projects to clean and renovate the school grounds, creating a sense of closeness for students as they enter the new school year.

His efforts have been recognized with many titles such as Outstanding Provincial Youth Union Officer, Certificate of Merit from the Central Youth Union in Youth Union work and youth movement.

In 2024, he also achieved a series of noble titles such as: Central-level Outstanding Young Teacher Award, Outstanding Young Teacher of Dong Nai province, Outstanding Young Face of Dong Nai province, Outstanding Young Party Member of Bien Hoa city.

Sharing his feelings when receiving the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2025, Mr. Hiep expressed: "I am honored but also feel a greater responsibility. This award is a motivation for me to continue to strive, sow seeds of love and spread positive values ​​to students and youth union members."
