On January 4, the MAG bomb advisory group in Vietnam said it had just moved a bomb to a safe storage area to await centralized destruction.

Accordingly, while digging the ground to prepare for planting acacia and eucalyptus, people in Hien Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh discovered a bomb weighing more than 220kg, lying about 1m deep underground.

Immediately after receiving the request from the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command, MAG coordinated with local authorities to dispatch a mobile disposal team and bomb disposal experts to the scene.

After establishing safety measures, MAG experts conducted a survey and carefully assessed the condition of the bomb.

The bomb was later determined to be eligible for transport and was brought by MAG to a safe storage area, awaiting centralized destruction according to regulations.
