Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, March 28, 2025 in the Central Highlands region decreased slightly compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 132,400 - 133,400 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 133,400 VND/kg. A sharp decrease of 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee price in Dak Lak province is 133,400 VND/kg, down 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND2,000/kg and were traded at VND133,300/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices decreased by VND2,000/kg and reached VND132,400/kg.

The 2024–2025 coffee harvest in Kbang District, Gia Lai Province recorded a fairly good yield. The family of Mr. Nguyen Van Trang, a farmer in Dak Roong Commune, harvested about 10 tons of coffee beans from 3 hectares of land. After the 2025 Lunar New Year, he sold half of the coffee at VND120,000/kg to pay off debts and cover living expenses.
The remaining 5 tons, he decided to keep because he saw that coffee prices were increasing steadily every week and every month. According to Mr. Trang, this was an unprecedented high price in the coffee industry, so everyone agreed to keep their goods, waiting for prices to continue to increase before selling.
The leader of the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) said that when coffee prices reached VND130,000/kg in early March, farmers in the Central Highlands and the Southeast almost stopped selling. This forced purchasing units to raise prices to get the supply.
It is forecasted that if the situation of holding goods continues, coffee prices may reach 140,000, even 150,000 VND/kg. However, this also causes many difficulties for processing and exporting enterprises due to sharp increases in input costs.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market fell sharply on both exchanges:
Robusta Coffee (London):
Delivery in May 2025: Down 111 USD/ton, to 5,326 USD/ton.
Delivery in July 2025: Down 93 USD/ton, to 5,350 USD/ton.
Arabica Coffee (New York):
May 2025 delivery: Down 11.5 cents/lb, to 380.5 cents/lb.
July 2025 delivery: Down 9.75 cents/lb, to 376.4 cents/lb.
Market expert Nguyen Quang Binh said that coffee prices on the world market have decreased in the recent session because the USD has strengthened and forecasts of rain in Brazil have caused many parties to take profits. In addition, the standard inventory on the two trading floors has also increased, affecting market sentiment.
However, the real price of coffee on the physical market is still likely to increase in the next few months, when major markets such as the US, Europe and the Middle East are increasing imports, especially Robusta coffee to serve the needs of the food and beverage industry.
The increase on the London and New York exchanges in recent days is also expected to be a positive signal supporting domestic coffee prices in the medium and long term.
Weather forecasts from Climatempo suggest rain is possible in coffee-growing regions in Brazil this weekend, which is a factor that has caused the world market to slightly decline.
Robusta inventories monitored by ICE rose to a seven-week high, while arabica stocks fell to a one-month low. In Brazil, the domestic market remains quiet as well-financed farmers are holding back on sales and waiting for higher prices.
The Central Bank of Brazil’s monetary policy also affected the market. Last week, the Selic interest rate was raised to 14.25% and could be increased again in May if inflation is not controlled. This increases financing costs, slowing sales for coffee growers in Brazil.
