Phao just took the Vietnamese music scene by storm when the rap song " Su Nghiep Chuong" unexpectedly dethroned Hoa Minzy's " Bac Bling" , reaching the top 1 trending position on YouTube in both the music chart and the general chart.
Currently, the rap has garnered more than 13 million views and this number is still increasing rapidly. This strong rise raises the question: Is Phao's success a natural viral phenomenon or is it "fueled" by the love scandal that is causing a stir in public opinion of streamer ViruSs?

Phao's "Bad Career" usurps Hoa Minzy's "Bac Bling".
Phao's cleverness must first be shown in the time of the song's release. The rap does not mention anyone's name but has a suspicious coincidence with the tense developments in ViruSs's love affair, originating from the shares of his ex-girlfriend Ngoc Kem and then spreading with the appearance of many other names such as Phao and Emma Nhat Khanh.
This coincidence has pushed the heat of "Career" higher than ever. Although Phao did not mention the character "ex-boyfriend" that she "attacked" in the song, keywords such as "career", "sorry", "magic commission" or "employee" made the online community unable to help but associate it with the famous streamer.
This ambiguity has sparked countless debates and speculations, turning the song into a hot topic of discussion across social media platforms, contributing significantly to the MV's massive increase in views.
After that, ViruSs also did not hesitate to release a reaction video (a type of content in which people watch a video and record their reactions) about this song by Phao, which immediately attracted the attention of many netizens. In the video, ViruSs appeared quite interested and excited about the rap song that many people thought was attacking him. However, he did not mention whether he was the main character or not. The audience continued to argue and question.

Phao succeeded in choosing to release a quality rap at the right time.
From the love suspicions between Phao and ViruSs, the MV "The Karma" is attracting unprecedented attention in Vietnamese showbiz, with both the main MV and the reaction video taking turns dominating the first and second positions on the YouTube Vietnam trending chart.
Some viewers even questioned whether the reaction videos and livestreams were just a "fun" trick or whether ViruSs and Phao were "making money" together from the public's curiosity and "noise".
However, ignoring the external drama elements, this rap by Phao is a quality music product. Musician Duong Cam shared that the rap "Sư nghiep phung" is the beauty of rap. Producer OnlyC praised Phao's singing/rapping voice in this rap and the lyrics are also good.
Compared to other underground rap attacks, Phao balanced many elements in this rap to suit the listeners' tastes.
The song "addicts" listeners to its catchy melody, profound lyrics, and many layers of meaning, aiming at the image of a womanizing, promiscuous man who is good at "pouring honey into the ears" and "manipulating" the other person's emotions.
Phao's intelligence is that even though this is a rap aimed at her ex-lover, she uses moderate words, the level of attack stops at the level of sarcasm, not too harsh and heavy.
For example, when wanting to denounce the guy's promiscuity, Phao used the metaphor of a rose garden: "There was originally a rose garden, The love story had a gardener" to refer to the "many-handed" "fisherman".
Or when she wanted to talk about her lack of remorse after wrongdoings, she described it in a subtle way: "He took her into a small, closed room/Just by hearing it, you know the story happened exactly like in the movies", "He had nothing on his teeth/What else to worry about but the word sorry".
Even the song title "Career" is a play on words combining the words "career" and "karma". This also refers to the saying that the guy often uses to cover up his carelessness, cleverly used by Phao in the male voice in the song: "This is just my job".

Ignoring the external drama elements, this rap by Phao is a quality music product.
The balance between personal "ego" and musicality has helped "Ngư Nghiễn Trừng" not only be a simple attack rap but also a quality, close music product, allowing everyone to see their own love story in it.
In his reaction video, ViruSs praised Phao's good musical sense and good beat. He even expressed his gratitude if the song was really about him: "A lot of people sent me and said that this song was for me. I don't know if it's true, but when Phao released a new song, I reacted. Maybe people saw the word 'career' and attached it to me," ViruSs shared.
He added: " If you dedicate this song to me, I thank you. First, this song is so good. Second, this could also be the motivation for you to write such a good song."
However, when asked about the connection between Phao and the love scandal of ViruSs and Ngoc Kem, the representative of Phao's crew denied: "All the information currently circulating on the internet is unofficial information. We completely deny any inaccurate information related to the artist's private life, hoping that the audience and readers will focus more on the artist's artistic activities instead of dramatic information."
With careful investment in structure and sound, experts and audiences are inclined to the hypothesis that "Ngư nghiệp Trừng" is a product that Phao has prepared thoroughly in advance, instead of simply "relying on" the scandal that is attracting attention. Although it is undeniable that the strong spreading effect from the coincidence with the noise of ViruSs, helping the song reach a huge audience, the direct and biggest beneficiary is still Phao, when she quickly owns a hit song, consolidating her position in the music market.
