Proposal to build 5 new light overpasses

The Hanoi Department of Transport has just proposed that the Hanoi People's Committee build five new lightweight steel overpasses to reduce traffic congestion and increase traffic connectivity.

The Hanoi Department of Transport has proposed to build 5 light overpass projects at the following intersections: Chau Van Liem - Le Quang Dao (Nam Tu Liem district); Co Linh - Thach Ban (Long Bien district); Hoang Minh Giam - Nguyen Tuan (Thanh Xuan district); Co Bi - Ngo Xuan Quang (Gia Lam district); Nguyen Huy Nhuan - Ly Thanh Tong (Gia Lam district).

Among these, according to the assessment of the Hanoi Department of Transport, the Co Linh - Thach Ban intersection has a large traffic volume during rush hour, especially after the completion of Vinh Tuy 2 bridge.

Meanwhile, the low awareness of compliance with the Road Traffic Law among some people has caused traffic jams.

At this intersection, the Department of Transport is currently piloting traffic organization adjustments in the direction of prohibiting vehicles from going from Co Linh Street to Thach Ban Street and adjusting vehicles to go into alleys 541 Bat Khoi, 33 Co Linh, 191 Thach Ban to reduce traffic pressure.

At the same time, adjust the traffic light cycle to suit the traffic organization adjustment plan; arrange forces to guide traffic flow.

The remaining locations are also areas with high traffic volume, often experiencing congestion during rush hours. The construction of light overpasses is an effective solution to solve congestion at these intersections.
