After 10 years of the city's decision to assign relevant departments and localities to coordinate with investors to implement the Yen So bus station project, the site is still an empty lot surrounded by fences.

The project aims to build and complete to gradually move bus routes from Giap Bat and Nuoc Ngam bus stations here, reducing congestion in the inner city.

The project is located on Do Muoi Street (Ring Road 3), Yen So Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi City; surrounding the project is an urban area, with houses already located close together, so the planned location for the construction of Yen So bus station is considered a golden land in Hanoi City.

Covering an area of ​​more than 2.7 hectares located in the inner city of Hanoi, the project has been abandoned for decades.

Even the land planned for the bus station has not been implemented yet, some locations on the land are being built with factories and warehouses to store goods and are being used for the wrong purpose.

Next to the abandoned bus station project land, outside many illegal parking lots and stations have sprung up and are operating day and night.

After 10 years of not being able to implement the Yen So bus station project, many traffic and planning experts believe that the bus station has missed the golden time to serve people and reduce travel pressure in Hanoi city.

Along with that, the Ring Road 3 route, both above and below, is currently crowded with traffic, and the bus station is located close to the intersection of the Ring Road 3 above (Tam Trinh intersection), so if the bus station comes into operation now, it will increase traffic on the road, making congestion worse.

Residents in the Yen So bus station project area also said that currently around the bus station there are high-rise apartment buildings and houses close together, so if a bus station is built here it will no longer be suitable.
