Similarly, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc remained stable, with the current pepper purchase price in these two localities at 157,000 VND/kg.
In particular, pepper price in Dak Lak province decreased slightly, by 500 VND/kg, currently pepper price in this locality is at 158,500 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dak Nong province have decreased compared to yesterday, down 800 VND/kg, currently pepper is purchased at 158,500 VND/kg.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), there are currently about 200 enterprises operating in the pepper processing and trading sector nationwide. Of these, the top 15 enterprises account for 70% of the export volume. The Vietnamese pepper industry currently has 14 deep processing factories, with the participation of 5 foreign enterprises, holding nearly 30% of the export market share.
Vietnam's pepper processing technology has met the standards of major markets in the world. Many businesses have invested in modern processing plants, complying with international standards such as ASTA, ESA, JSSA, helping to diversify products. Product lines include black pepper, whole white pepper, ground pepper and small packaged pepper, meeting global consumer demand.

Experts say increased supply from the new harvest combined with weak international demand are the main factors putting downward pressure on prices. However, farmers and distributors continue to hold onto their stocks instead of selling, reducing trading volumes.
Currently, pepper inventories in Vietnam and the world have nearly hit rock bottom, so in 2025, experts predict that pepper prices will remain high and gradually increase. The two main consumption markets in the world are still the US and China, which are also the two markets that Vietnamese pepper focuses on exploiting.

World pepper prices today are stable, with mixed increases and decreases in Indonesia.
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) at 4:30 a.m. on March 12, 2025 as follows: the market remains stable, unchanged compared to yesterday; however, pepper prices in Indonesia fluctuate between Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,264 USD/ton (down 112 USD/ton); in contrast, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,251 USD/ton (up 9 USD/ton).
The Malaysian pepper market stabilized after the previous price increase, currently the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,800 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 12,300 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil increased slightly after a long period of stable prices, currently the purchase price reached 6,900 USD/ton.
Vietnam's pepper export market is stable and increasing slightly. Specifically, the export price of Vietnam's black pepper is currently at 7,000 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 7,200 USD/ton and the price of white pepper is at 10,000 USD/ton.

As of the first two months of 2025, the US remained Vietnam's largest export market with 5,890 tons, accounting for 21.5% of the market share despite a 32.7% decrease. China's imports increased sharply, reaching 1,523 tons, up 86.6%.
