In order to help businesses promote and introduce their products, recently, the industry and trade sector has implemented many trade promotion activities to promote and expand product consumption markets, increase competitiveness and aim to export the province's key products.

According to Head of Trade Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade) Le Van Khoa: “The Department regularly organizes activities to connect supply - demand, product consumption, at the same time, propagates, mobilizes and supports enterprises, production and business establishments in the province to participate in trade fairs/supply - demand connection conferences held in provinces and cities across the country. Every year, the province organizes at least 2 trade fairs and exhibitions, 2 supply - demand connection conferences; 3 product display and introduction programs. The Department also coordinates with organizing units for enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments to participate in the International Trade Fair - VIETNAM EXPO in Hanoi, the International Trade Fair, Tourism and Investment of the East-West Economic Corridor - Da Nang, the International Exhibition of Vietnam Food Industry in Ho Chi Minh City... to connect consumption, promote products of enterprises in the province to distributors and consumers inside and outside the province”.
In particular, from 2022, implementing Decision No. 1968/QD-TTg dated November 22, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities for the period 2021-2030", the Department of Industry and Trade has presided over and coordinated with relevant departments, branches, units and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan No. 17/KH-UBND. In particular, focusing on implementing many tasks and solutions to support enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments in the province to apply information technology in trade promotion activities, such as: Propagating and disseminating to raise awareness of the application of information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities. Organizing training and coaching to improve the capacity of applying information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities. Supporting trade promotion through domestic and international e-commerce platforms. Participate in online trade connection activities to support enterprises, cooperatives and business households in finding customers. Support the application of digital tools and platforms in promoting, building and developing product brands and local enterprises. Currently, 100% of enterprises in the province have websites with full information on introducing and promoting their products; about 6,500 enterprises have access to, information and propaganda about the province's support policies on digital transformation consulting fees and purchasing and renting digital technology solutions. Support enterprises, cooperatives and individual business households that have participated in e-commerce platforms; use social networking platforms (facebook, youtube, zalo) to promote and sell products; support enterprises, production and business households to bring nearly 87,300 agricultural products to e-commerce platforms voso.vn and portmart.vn; including 187 OCOP products...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly, Director of Ha Lai Agricultural Service Cooperative (Ha Trung), said: "After Ha Lai leaf cake products were recognized as 4-star OCOP at the provincial level (in 2021), the Cooperative invested in beautiful labels, packaging, logos, traceability stamps... to meet customer tastes, and built the website "banhlahalai.vn". In addition, the Cooperative also focuses on promotional activities through participating in OCOP product introduction booths, fairs inside and outside the province... Therefore, Ha Lai leaf cake has become a familiar culinary dish, affirming its brand and quality with consumers in all 3 regions, contributing significantly to improving the material and spiritual life of local people".
Through trade promotion activities, enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments have promoted and introduced typical and characteristic products of the province to a large number of consumers and the business community across the country. At the same time, it is easy to connect with foreign markets, thereby strengthening production links, boosting product consumption towards export. According to statistics on the Ministry of Industry and Trade's website online.gov.vn, up to now, Thanh Hoa province has 358 traders, 10 organizations, 216 individuals promoting, introducing products and selling on 219 e-commerce websites, 3 websites providing e-commerce services, 2 e-commerce applications for sales and 1 application providing e-commerce services.
In order for the province's products and goods to reach a large number of consumers, along with propaganda and mobilization of enterprises and production establishments to focus on promotion, brand building, and improving product quality to attract consumers, the industry and trade sector continues to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation, supporting enterprises in trade promotion to boost the consumption of products and goods.
