At the recent Policy Forum “Vietnam proactively develops the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry in the new era”, the Prime Minister emphasized the specific goal in the coming years, Vietnam is actively training 100,000 semiconductor and AI engineers, affirming the strategic role of AI technology in digital economic development.

Responding to that orientation, FPT has announced its development strategy for the period 2025 - 2027, identifying AI as a central pillar and committing to train 50,000 AI engineers. Along with that, FPT will provide AI skills and knowledge to 500,000 employees by 2030. This is part of the Group's "AI First" orientation to meet the increasing demand for quality technology human resources in the digital transformation period. In addition, FPT will also invest in building AI factories in Vietnam and Japan, expanding the data center system to improve computing capacity to serve research and deploy large-scale AI services.

Another notable event was ABAII Unitour 25 with the theme “Optimizing management and career development with Blockchain and AI in the engineering industry” organized by the ABAII Institute of Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA), which recently took place at the University of Technical Education - Danang University. The event attracted a large number of students, lecturers and technology experts, focusing on sharing in-depth knowledge on AI and blockchain applications in management, production and medicine, while opening up many attractive career opportunities for students.

Experts emphasize that AI technology is opening up great job potential with an average salary for AI engineers of up to 200,000 USD/year, many times higher than that of traditional software engineers. Meanwhile, Blockchain is considered a tool to optimize data and increase transparency for businesses, especially in the field of carbon credit management.

Recently, a series of posts and articles in the media have shared young people's concerns about the risk of unemployment in the AI ​​era, when technology and algorithms increasingly replace traditional jobs. However, the problem lies not in the development of AI, but in the preparation and adaptability of the workforce.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tu (30 years old), a software engineer at a gaming startup in Hanoi, shared: “If you start studying AI systematically now, you will still have a chance when you graduate. However, the important thing is to learn from the root, understand the nature, instead of just following the trend or learning how to use tools. Just like programming, if you have a solid foundation, no matter how the technology changes, you can still adapt and apply it. For example, GenAI (Generative AI) is the trend, but in a few years, it is very possible that a new technology will take the throne.”

Currently, on social networks, discussions about whether to learn basic algorithms such as “machine learning”, “deep learning”, etc. are still divided into two opinions. One side believes that students still need to learn the core, while the other side asks: is it still necessary to learn deep algorithms when tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc. have been so developed and can do so much, so well...

According to experts, fundamental thinking, proactive learning ability and flexible application of technology are the "keys" to help young people not only stand firm but also pioneer in the AI ​​era.
