The first Vietnamese Cultural Day in Tyumen took place at the International Hall - Tyumen Technopark Convention Center, Russia.
With the theme “Vietnam from the past to the present”, the program recreated a colorful picture of history, tradition and national identity, attracting more than 300 attendees, including many international students, international friends and local officials.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Mai Huong - Consul General of Vietnam in Ekaterinburg, emphasized that the event is an opportunity to promote Vietnamese culture to the people of Tyumen city in particular and the Russian people in general, contributing to strengthening the Vietnam-Russia friendship.
Ms. Huong shared: “We hope that through the program, Russian friends will understand more about the country and people of Vietnam – people who love peace, work hard and are steadfast in protecting national independence.”
Deputy Governor of Tyumen Oblast, Mr. Andrei Panteleev, highly appreciated the Vietnam Cultural Day in Tyumen, considering it a meaningful event that helps local people better understand the country, culture and people of Vietnam; emphasizing that the event contributes to promoting bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Russia.
In particular, the Deputy Governor praised the contributions of Vietnamese students, affirming that they are an important bridge in the context of Russia promoting its Eastward policy.
He expressed his hope that Tyumen province will strengthen cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the fields of education and economy and trade, to consolidate the long-standing friendship between the two countries.

Vietnamese cultural space in the heart of Russia
The Vietnam Day event in Tyumen brought a vibrant cultural space about Vietnamese culture, history and people.
From the first steps into the event space, attendees were immersed in a miniature Vietnam with a photo exhibition depicting Vietnam's imprints through each period.
In particular, the Dong Ho painting printing experience activity brought exciting moments when international friends were able to create folk paintings by hand, understanding more about unique folk art. The event continued with a series of unique art performances, imbued with the breath of Vietnamese culture.
Notably, the performance of the song Kachiusa in both Vietnamese and Russian demonstrated the friendship between the two nations. Not only that, the audience also enjoyed a film about Vietnamese student life, helping them understand more about the talented, dynamic young generation with big dreams and ambitions.
Alina, a third-year student at Tyumen State University, excitedly shared: “The Vietnamese Cultural Day in Tyumen is a special event, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the rich culture and history of the beautiful country of Vietnam.
Honored to be chosen as the host of the event and wearing the traditional Vietnamese costume – Ao Dai, I fully felt the atmosphere of the event as well as the warmth of the people around. The enthusiastic interaction of Vietnamese students with the guests as well as the cultural exchange process opened up meaningful connection opportunities, contributing to building friendship between the two countries.
Not only did the event leave a deep impression on the attendees, it was also a source of pride for the Vietnamese student community in Tyumen.
