Awarding prizes to 55 literary and artistic works on the subject of the Navy

Attending the closing and award ceremony were: Rear Admiral Do Van Yen, Deputy Political Commissar of the Navy, Head of the Organizing Committee; Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; representatives of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, delegates of central and local literature and arts associations; heads of agencies and units in the Navy; officers, employees, non-commissioned officers, soldiers of Navy units in the northern region.

Together with representatives of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in composing and mobilizing the creation and promotion of literary and artistic works on the topic of the Vietnam People's Navy in the period 2021-2025.

Over the past 5 years, the movement to create and promote literary and artistic works on the topic of the Vietnam People's Navy in the period of 2021-2025 has created a profound influence on socio-political life in general and the Navy in particular, attracting thousands of professional and non-professional authors to participate.

Many authors have traveled thousands of nautical miles to Truong Sa island district (Khanh Hoa province), DK1 platform on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland, Hoang Sa sea area, the southwestern and northeastern island sea areas of the Fatherland, Navy units... to meet directly with real people and real events, creating thousands of literary and artistic works.

The works clearly reflect the mettle, will, determination, emotions, training life, and combat readiness of the Vietnam People's Navy soldiers; directly encouraging, motivating, and inspiring Navy officers and soldiers to build their will, faith, and love for the Party, the Fatherland, and the People, and firmly protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

From 2021 to 2025, 1,157 works in 4 art forms: music, photography, literature, and cinema written about the Navy were born, including 335 songs, 711 art photos, 87 literary works printed into books by 92 authors, and 24 cinematographic works participating in the contest on the Navy theme.

At the program, the Navy Command awarded prizes to 55 works with high ideological content and artistic value. Of which, 7 A prizes, 13 B prizes, 20 C prizes, 15 consolation prizes, 17 groups and 12 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit for their outstanding achievements in composing and mobilizing the creation, propagating and promoting literary and artistic works on the topic of the Vietnam People's Navy in the period 2021-2025.

Speaking at the program, Rear Admiral Do Van Yen affirmed: Literary and artistic creation activities on the theme of the Vietnam People's Navy have made an important contribution to building and developing the country's culture and arts; educating and propagating, beautifying the qualities and image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands. Directly improving the spiritual and cultural life of the soldiers; building political and spiritual strength, fighting strength to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Awarding prizes to winning authors in the field of literature.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Chief of the Navy Command, the Deputy Political Commissar of the Navy congratulated 84 authors and groups of authors for their outstanding works in propagating and promoting literary and artistic works on the topic of the Vietnam People's Navy in the period 2021-2025.

The Deputy Commissar of the Navy emphasized: The Navy hopes that literary and artistic associations and artists will continue to show their love and come to the sea and islands and the Navy; continue to participate in the Campaign to create literature and art on the theme of the Vietnam People's Navy in the period of 2025-2030.

More new literary and artistic works have been published, contributing to promoting and widely disseminating the qualities and image of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers - Navy soldiers” to the people; continuing to accompany the Vietnam People’s Navy in the cause of building and protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
