Honoring outstanding faces of Quang Ninh sports

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Viet Dung emphasized: Quang Ninh continues to focus on promoting the work of selecting, training, and coaching to improve achievements in high-performance sports, while preparing forces to participate in the national team to compete in national sports tournaments, the 10th National Sports Congress and participate in the national team to compete in international sports tournaments.

The event to honor outstanding athletes and coaches of the Mining Region is a traditional, annual activity jointly organized by the Journalists Association and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh for the past 26 years to honor the sporting talents of the Mining Region.

As a result, the 7 outstanding athletes of 2024 include: Bui Mai Hanh (Boat racing), Dinh Thi Trang (Boat racing), Pham Ngoc Tu (Archery), Le Pham Ngoc Anh (Archery), Duong Thi Van (Women's football), Vu Van Tuan (Wushu), Bui Dinh Quyet (Pencak Silat).

The 5 outstanding coaches of 2024 include: Vu Thi Linh (Boat Racing), Dang Thi Nhan (Archery), Nguyen Thai Linh (Pencak Silat), Doan Van Hai (Women's Football), Vu Xuan Quang (Wushu).

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province presented certificates of merit to the athletes.

The ceremony to honor outstanding athletes and coaches in the Mining Region not only honors the achievements of outstanding individuals but also arouses pride and sportsmanship in the community.

The event contributes to encouraging coaches and athletes to continue to strive and train to achieve higher results, contributing to the sustainable development of Quang Ninh sports.
