On March 19, at the Presidential Palace in the capital Maputo, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin presented the Letter of Credence of President Luong Cuong to President of the Republic of Mozambique Daniel Francisco Chapo.
The ceremony took place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, with the participation of Mozambique's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas, Presidential Adviser on Foreign Affairs Manuel José Gonçalves and officials from the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique.

At the reception following the presentation of credentials, President Daniel Francisco Chapo congratulated Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin on her appointment as Ambassador of Vietnam to the Republic of Mozambique.
Appreciating the good development of the traditional, friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Mozambique over the past half century, President Daniel Francisco Chapo expressed his belief that Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin will make many positive contributions to promoting the increasingly deep and extensive development of relations between the two countries in all fields.
President Daniel Francisco Chapo also mentioned the success of the Movitel telecommunications joint venture, a symbol of cooperation between the two countries, and hoped that in the coming time, more Vietnamese businesses would be interested in and invest in Mozambique.

Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong to President Daniel Francisco Chapo on the occasion of his election as Chairman of the Mozambique Liberation Front and inauguration as President of the Republic of Mozambique, and conveyed the invitation of our high-ranking leaders to President Daniel Francisco Chapo to visit Vietnam soon.
The Ambassador affirmed Vietnam's consistent policy of attaching importance to the traditional friendly and cooperative relationship with Mozambique and considering Mozambique as Vietnam's priority partner in Africa. He wished to continue promoting solidarity, friendship, cooperation, and tradition with Mozambique for the benefit of the people of the two countries and for peace, cooperation, and development in the world.

Expressing her honor to assume the responsibility of Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique at a meaningful time in bilateral relations, when the two countries are implementing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (June 25, 1975 - June 25, 2025), Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin affirmed that in her assigned position, she will make every effort to contribute to promoting the good friendship in many aspects between the two countries, in addition to traditional cooperation areas such as education, health, agriculture, and will simultaneously promote cooperation in new areas such as mining, telecommunications, information technology and digital transformation.
On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his hope that the President and Government of Mozambique will continue to care for and support the Vietnamese community to live, study and work in Mozambique, contributing to strengthening the friendly relations between the people of the two countries.
