Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds first Party Executive Committee Conference for the 2020-2025 term

Attending the Conference were Comrade Lai Xuan Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee; and comrades of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the newly appointed Party Committee will discuss and approve many important draft documents to ensure the effective operation of the Ministry's Party Committee according to the new model.

The main contents include: Draft Working Regulations of the Executive Committee; Working Regulations of the Inspection Committee of the Ministry's Party Committee; Decision on assigning work to Executive Committee members and Standing Committee members; Completing the Project on establishing specialized agencies to advise and assist the Ministry's Party Committee and a number of affiliated party organizations after merging related units.

In addition, the Conference also focused on discussing and giving opinions on the establishment of subcommittees to serve the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term 2025-2030, as well as the Working Program of the Party Executive Committee, the Inspection and Supervision Program of the Ministry's Party Committee and the Party Committee's Inspection Commission from now until the end of the term 2020-2025.

The Conference also announced the Decision of the Government Party Committee on the establishment of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Decision to appoint members of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Chairman, Vice Chairman, and members of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2020-2025 term.

Emphasizing the importance of the Conference and the large amount of content that needs to be discussed, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee Bui Thanh Son asked the members of the Executive Committee to promote a sense of responsibility, contribute frank and constructive opinions for early promulgation and implementation in the Party Committee.

With a spirit of solidarity, responsibility, innovation and high determination, the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2020-2025 term is committed to excellently completing its tasks, continuing to develop the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly, making important contributions to the country's foreign affairs.

The conference discussed and approved many important contents related to organization, personnel, direction and key tasks of the Party Committee in the coming time.

Delegates also focused on evaluating the results of Party work in the past time, and proposed solutions to improve the leadership and direction effectiveness of the Party Committee of the Ministry, meeting the requirements in the context of complicated developments in the world and the region.

Concluding the Conference, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry Bui Thanh Son requested the entire Party Committee to continue promoting the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, effectively carrying out Party building work in conjunction with implementing foreign affairs tasks, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of Vietnam in the international arena.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee Bui Thanh Son emphasized the role of Party work in building a strong foreign affairs cadre team with political mettle, revolutionary ethics and high professional capacity.

He requested that Party committees at all levels continue to innovate, improve the quality of Party activities, promote political and ideological education, strengthen discipline and order, and contribute to the successful implementation of the country's foreign affairs tasks.
