Da Lat received 2 Asian awards for Flower Festival

(LĐ online) - On the morning of March 21, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City Dang Quang Tu said that within the framework of the 2025 Global Festival Summit, held at the HICO Convention Center in Gyeongju City (Korea) on the evening of March 20, Da Lat City was honored to receive two Asian awards at the same time for the Flower Festival.

The two awards that Da Lat City received were: 2025 Asia Festival Awards in the category of Asia Flower and Garden Festival of 2025 and Asia Pinnacle Awards in the category of Best Eco-Friendly Festival voted by the International Festival and Event Association of Asia (IFEA ASIA).

The 2025 Global Festival Summit is themed Festivals, World Cultural Heritage and the Night-Time Economy.

The conference was organized by Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Gyeongju City in collaboration with the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Asia Branch of the International Festival and Event Association (IFEA Asia) with the participation of about 250 officials from 11 countries, including 8 APEC member countries.

At the Conference, delegates discussed the current sustainable innovation directions of the festival industry; promoting global cultural exchange; promoting night-time economic development activities with Ireland's successful model.

The conference was held ahead of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.

In 2023, Da Lat will join the UNESCO Global Creative Cities Network in the field of music.

Da Lat participated in the event with traditional art performances and booths displaying local products. This is an opportunity for Da Lat to promote its image and potential as well as expand cooperation and develop tourism with other cities in the region.
