Roads in rural areas are invested and developed rapidly.
The whole province currently has more than 8,485km of roads. Of which, national highways are more than 214.5km (accounting for 2.52%); provincial roads are more than 1,071km (accounting for 12.62%); district roads are more than 1,913km (accounting for 22.55%); and commune roads are more than 5,285km (accounting for 62.29%).
Through assessment, the quality of the roads is increasingly improved and enhanced. Currently, there are 506km of asphalt concrete roads (accounting for 5.96%); more than 2,973km of asphalt macadam roads (accounting for 35.03%); more than 1,586km of cement concrete roads (accounting for 18.6%); more than 3,343km of graded roads (accounting for 39.39%); and only more than 76km of dirt roads (accounting for 0.9%).
Notably, the system of commune and hamlet roads has developed synchronously, ensuring convenient traffic to the commune centers.
According to statistics, up to now, the whole province has 143/160 communes (accounting for 89.4%) meeting the traffic criteria according to the New Rural Commune Criteria Set.
Of which, 85/160 communes (accounting for 53.1%) of the communes meet the traffic criteria under the Advanced New Rural Commune Criteria Set; 8/13 districts (accounting for 61.5%) meet the traffic criteria under the New Rural District Criteria Set.
The development of synchronous transport infrastructure not only facilitates people's travel and trade but also promotes economic development, improves the quality of life and contributes to the completion of the province's new rural construction goals.
In the coming time, the province will continue to mobilize resources, promote investment in upgrading the rural transport system , and strive to complete the goals of building new rural areas in a sustainable manner./.
