Diverse activities of Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival 2025

The Quan The Am Festival, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang City is one of the festivals imbued with the religious and belief elements of Buddhism. In 2021, this Festival was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. On the evening of March 16, the Quan The Am Festival, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang City in 2025 opened at Quan The Am Pagoda. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong attended and delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong said that, along with the special national relic - Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Area, Ma Nhai - a documentary heritage of the Asia-Pacific Memory of the World Program at Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Area, the Quan The Am Festival is a festival of important spiritual significance for the city's people and Buddhists.

The 2025 Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival in Da Nang City will take place from March 16 to March 19 (February 17 to February 20 of the lunar calendar), with many diverse cultural, artistic, sports, belief and religious activities. There are two main ceremonies: the opening ceremony and the Quan The Am Bodhisattva Festival. The festival will include activities such as: incense offering ceremony in memory of Princess Huyen Tran, Spring worship ceremony to pray for national peace and people's safety; competitions, exhibitions, cultural and artistic programs; flower float parade on the city's streets. The highlight of this year's festival is the scientific seminar "The influence of Buddhism in the Ma Nhai Stele documentary heritage at Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot", and the Peace Walk Program, with more than 300 participants, including diplomatic and consular agencies in Da Nang. In addition, during the festival, Quan The Am pagoda opens the Buddhist Cultural Museum, welcoming tourists and locals to visit and study. The festival is one of the activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city.
