The forum was held directly at the Central bridge and online to the bridge of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities. At the Tay Ninh bridge, the attendance included Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh and leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.
This is the second time the forum has been held, an activity under the Inter-sectoral Legal Support Program for Small and Medium Enterprises for the period 2021-2025, contributing to the effective implementation of the Project "Organizing policy communication with great impact on society in the process of building legal documents for the period 2022-2027".
In his opening speech, Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh said that the 2024 Business and Law Forum aims to create a bridge for competent authorities and businesses to "listen to each other's voices"; continue to jointly identify legal issues related to production and business activities in the current context and propose recommendations and solutions to improve the legal system related to businesses.

The main objective of the forum is to correctly and accurately identify existing legal problems in the production and business activities of enterprises in the context of enterprises being on the path of strong recovery and development; clarify the causes of those existing problems, due to legal regulations or law enforcement organizations (or both). In addition, to provide effective directions and solutions right at the forum or after the forum to solve legal problems to help enterprises develop in both aspects of perfecting the law and improving the effectiveness of law enforcement organizations, responding flexibly and promptly to policies and laws.
The Minister of Justice emphasized: “This is also the concretization of the innovation of thinking in implementing the work of building and perfecting institutions and laws in an institutional direction to encourage innovation, unleash all resources for national development, contribute to building an honest, creative, and active Government, create the most favorable conditions for business development associated with the process of perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy and the determination to continue building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law State in the new period of our Party and State”.
In his concluding remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long acknowledged and highly appreciated the opinions contributed at the forum; requested the Ministry of Justice to synthesize opinions and recommendations, advise the Government to assign tasks to ministries and branches, first of all, agencies in charge of submitting draft laws; and for enterprises and businessmen to seriously comply with the provisions of the law in the production and business process.
