In recent times, Party committees at all levels in the province have always paid attention to leading and directing localities and units to do a good job of researching, compiling and publishing local Party history, traditional history of sectors and directing the strengthening of propaganda and education on Party history, education on revolutionary traditions among cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life. Thereby, it has contributed to nurturing love for the homeland and country, promoting revolutionary traditions, enhancing the trust in the Party of cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life, creating motivation to compete and successfully carry out local political tasks.

To improve the quality of collecting, researching and compiling Party history, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has directed district Party Committees, city Party Committees and affiliated Party Committees to thoroughly grasp and seriously and extensively implement Directive No. 20-CT/TW dated January 18, 2018 of the Central Party Secretariat "On continuing to strengthen and improve the quality of research, compilation, propaganda and education of Party history"; issued the Guide "Process of appraising Party history works, traditional history of departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations in the province" to unify the appraisal process of Party history works in the province, ensuring the quality of content, Party nature and scientific nature. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department proactively advised and assisted the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in developing a plan to implement the work of researching and compiling Party history; guided, organized training and fostered professional expertise for the team doing research and compiling Party history in the whole province. In particular, the Propaganda Department at all levels has actively directed and guided localities and units to collect and supplement new documents from many different sources and forms. The new documents and documents have been updated and archived by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and are currently digitizing historical documents; and promptly posting them on the province's internal information bulletin, the website of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, etc. to provide information and promptly serve the research and exploitation of information by cadres, party members and people. To date, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has classified, catalogued and digitized about 50,000 pages of documents. In 2024, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has updated about 300 documents from sources: Nam Dinh Newspaper, electronic information pages of the province, sectors, localities, newspapers, magazines, etc.
On the basis of the directive documents of the superiors, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations develop plans and implement the work of researching, compiling, propagating and educating the Party's history. In the process of organizing and implementing, the Party Committees at all levels have established Steering Committees, Document Collection Committees, Compilation Committees, developed plans and outlines, organized conferences, seminars, and discussions, sought opinions from veteran revolutionaries, key leaders, members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committees of different periods, etc. to unify opinions and supplement and complete the manuscript. Thereby, historical works have been compiled and published in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the agencies and units and the needs of exploitation and research of cadres, Party members and people. Up to now, 3/9 districts and cities in the province have organized and are reprinting, compiling and publishing the Party history; 175/175 commune-level administrative units have published Party histories. The historical publications of the Party chapters that have been published have been carefully and meticulously prepared in accordance with procedures and instructions, ensuring good quality.
Along with the compilation work, the propaganda and education work on Party history and traditional history continues to be directed and implemented effectively and systematically by all levels, sectors, localities and units, especially on the occasion of important events, holidays and major anniversaries of the country, the province, traditional days of localities and units with many diverse and rich forms such as: Organizing conferences, seminars, and talks to review traditions; organizing exhibitions of images and artifacts related to local traditional history; building specialized pages and columns for propaganda on mass media... Along with promoting propaganda work on mass media, a number of localities, agencies and units have directed the organization of propaganda on local Party history and traditional history in Party cell meetings and considered it one of the important and practical contents and tasks of Party cells. Some agencies and units organize online contests to learn about the history of the Party, the country, and the traditional history of the industry to celebrate important events and traditional days.
The work of educating Party history and traditional history has been carried out with attention by localities, agencies and units; in which, the development of outlines has been directed, the history of the provincial Party Committee and the history of the local Party Committee have been taught in schools and district political centers. In 2024, 10/10 districts and cities have directed the content of the history of the provincial Party Committee to be taught and trained for high school students and new Party members; the history of the local Party Committee has been taught and trained for junior high school students, Party development subjects... according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (for all levels and grades), contributing to consolidating and enhancing the trust of cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life in the leadership of the Party and the management of the State. Thereby, it has contributed to raising the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations; understanding of cadres, party members and people about the glorious and heroic revolutionary tradition of the Party and the nation, about the land and people of Nam Dinh. Arouse confidence, pride and love for the homeland and country, encourage the enthusiastic and active spirit of the people, making important contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Comrade Khuc Manh Kien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, said that in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department will continue to advise and assist the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in effectively implementing the work of collecting, researching, compiling Party history and educating revolutionary traditions. Advise, direct, and urge localities after the merger to arrange, supplement, compile, republish, and publish local Party history; traditional history of departments, branches, and organizations, especially for localities and units that have only written Party history up to 2005 and earlier. Continue to promote propaganda and education on Party history and traditional history. Advise and direct the organization of propaganda activities, commemorative ceremonies, and scientific seminars on the occasion of commemorating major events of the country, the province, historical figures, and outstanding children of Nam Dinh. Coordinate the review, editing, and supplement of documents and outlines to include the history of the provincial Party Committee in teaching for high school students, new party members, the history of local Party Committees (districts, cities) in teaching and training for junior high school students, party development subjects... to promote the effectiveness of Party history works. Carry out well the work of evaluating the content of works and publications on the history of local Party Committees, units and the traditional history of departments, branches, associations and unions of the province before publishing, ensuring the quality and content of historical works and publications. Organize training courses, training and fostering to improve the professional qualifications and skills of the team of cadres doing research and compiling Party history from the province to the grassroots level.
