Secretary of Da Nang City Party Committee works with Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC)

On February 27, within the framework of a working trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Da Nang City delegation led by Party Central Committee member, City Party Secretary, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang had a working session with the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC). Also attending were Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh and leaders of the city's departments and branches.

At the meeting, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang highly appreciated the achievements of DIFC, and emphasized that this is an important source of information to help Da Nang build its own strategy for developing an International Financial Center. The Secretary of the City Party Committee proposed that the two sides continue to expand their cooperation, especially in implementing training programs and exchanging officials to improve the capacity of managing and operating the financial center according to international standards.

Ms. Alya Al Zarouni, DIFC Operations Director, highly appreciated Da Nang's development potential in the financial sector, and emphasized that in order to successfully build an International Financial Center, Da Nang needs to identify its competitive advantages compared to existing models in the region. She affirmed that DIFC is ready to support Da Nang in sharing experiences in building a financial center, as well as cooperating in training human resources for this field.
