Ministry of National Defense considers and proposes awarding the title of teacher in the Army

Also attending were Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Vice Chairman of the Council.

Over the years, the work of reviewing and proposing the awarding of the titles of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher in the Army has always received the attention and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and Party committees and commanders at all levels.

Pursuant to the official dispatch of the Ministry of Education and Training on the implementation of the 16th People's Teacher and Meritorious Teacher awarding ceremony in 2023, the Department of Schools (General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army) - the Standing Agency of the Council has advised the Head of the Ministry of National Defense and the Head of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army to establish the Council, the Council Secretariat and guide academies, schools, and school management levels under the Ministry of National Defense to organize registration, review, and propose the awarding of the People's Teacher and Meritorious Teacher titles at the Ministry of National Defense level in 2023.

Units and training facilities throughout the army have thoroughly grasped and organized the implementation of consideration and proposal for the title of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher in accordance with regulations. There are 11 academies and schools with candidates proposing 18 comrades, of which 2 comrades proposed for consideration and award of People's Teacher. The Council Secretariat has conducted the appraisal of each teacher's profile to ensure seriousness and compliance with principles; the Department of Schools has compiled and collected feedback from academies and schools with teachers registered for consideration and proposal for the title of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher.

At the meeting, after discussing and evaluating the standards of each teacher, the Council members conducted a vote of confidence for each candidate. As a result, 14 teachers met the requirements to propose the State Council to consider awarding the title of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher (including 2 People's Teachers and 12 Excellent Teachers).

Concluding the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong praised the sense of responsibility of the Council members and the Council Secretariat during the working process; at the same time, he emphasized that the teachers proposed to be awarded the title of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher this time are all teachers who have made many contributions to the cause of education and training; are dedicated to their profession, have pedagogical talent, and are trusted and respected by students and colleagues. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested that, based on the achieved results, agencies, units, and schools continue to have plans to build, improve, develop, and foster the team of teachers, especially People's Teachers and Excellent Teachers; create all favorable conditions for teachers to contribute and develop.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army assigned the Department of Schools to complete the procedures and documents for consideration and proposal of recognition of the title of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher for qualified teachers in the Army to submit to the Chairman of the Council for signature, approval by the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission and send a report to the Council for consideration of awarding the title of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher at the State level in accordance with regulations.
