Participating in the exercise were maritime safety forces and equipment of the Corporation, satellite units, Nha Rong Port Border Guard, Cat Lai Waterway Police and Ho Chi Minh City Maritime Port Authority.

Hypothetical situation: At 8:45 a.m. on M day, Hai Van Line ship (TC12 pretending to be ship) left Ben Nghe - Phu Huu port on its way to buoy number 0 Vung Tau, while traveling on the Dong Nai river channel approaching pier B7 of Tan Cang Cat Lai port, the engine broke down, the steering wheel was lost, and there was a collision with Saigon 01 container barge going in the opposite direction (canoe 07 pretending to be ship). Consequences: The cabin behind the barge was dented, 2 containers (1 empty container and 1 container containing goods) fell from the barge into the river and 1 sailor on the barge fell into the river, injured and bleeding from the hand (canoe 07 used 2 fake container barrels to fall into the river).

After the training order was issued, the forces and vehicles were present at the scene, correctly and completely implementing the steps according to the ship receiving procedure and organizing the handling of maritime safety incidents to ensure absolute safety for people, vehicles and production activities at the port. At the end of the training session, the Corporation organized a review of experiences, pointing out limitations so that the next training sessions could be better.

The training session aims to raise awareness among officers, employees, and workers about maritime safety work, the level of use of rescue vehicles and equipment; the ability to organize command, coordinate, and respond to maritime safety situations when they occur.
