Reviewing the preparation work for the Workshop to contribute ideas to the development program of key sports

The conference is expected to take place on March 28 at Ba Dinh Sports Center with the participation of more than 200 delegates, including managers, experts, leading officials in the field of sports and physical training; journalists and reporters who have been following the sports and physical training activities of the industry for many years.

According to the report of Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh - Head of High Performance Sports Department, Vietnam Sports Administration: Up to this point, all preparations for the Conference have been almost completed. The Organizing Committee has received a relatively complete number of presentations (it is expected that there will be 13 presentations presented by managers and leading experts in the field of sports at the Conference), the content of the Conference program. Along with that, the reception, facilities... serving the Conference have been carefully and thoroughly prepared.

The event held this time mainly focuses on the main contents including: Developing a force of highly qualified athletes, coaches, and referees nationwide to meet the task of winning medals at the Olympics and ASIAD according to the Vietnam Sports Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Along with that, the discussion focused on finding solutions to perfect the system of facilities, equipment, and modern tools that meet international standards; applying achievements of science and technology, ensuring the training and competition of high-performance athletes; building and perfecting the system of mechanisms and policies specific to high-performance sports.

In addition, specific goals for achievements and medals for top Vietnamese athletes at continental and world competitions set for each stage were also discussed and opinions were sought from experts, scientists and those working in training key and top sports.

On March 14, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 675/QD-BVHTTDL on the Plan to implement the Vietnam Sports Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045. In particular, the specific task to be carried out in 2025 is: "Develop and submit for approval the Program for developing key sports to prepare for participation in the Olympics and ASIAD in the period 2026 - 2046". Therefore, the comments and evaluations of the results when implementing many contents related to high-performance sports by experts at this Workshop are of great value in helping to build the content of the Program to achieve the highest efficiency and practicality.

Appreciating the preparation work of each member of the Organizing Committee of the Workshop, Director Dang Ha Viet requested the Organizing Committee members to continue to improve the preparation work, ensuring the Workshop is successful, of high quality, and achieves the set goals as expected.

Overview of the working session.

In 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference on orientations for the development of high-performance sports to 2030. In 2024, the Ministry continued to hold a conference on implementing the Vietnam Sports Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045. At each of the above conferences, many opinions were given to help managers grasp more issues when embarking on investment and development of high-performance sports.

At this workshop, with the participation of representatives from localities, departments and sports training centers nationwide, it is expected that it will once again show the high determination of the sports industry to improve the achievements of the country's sports.
