Da Nang: Exhibition of achievements of 50 years of development and integration

Attending the opening ceremony were Party Central Committee member, Secretary of Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang; Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh.

The exhibition is held on an area of over ^10,800m² , presenting a panoramic picture of the journey of building and developing Da Nang City over the past 50 years.

The exhibition is designed into 3 key areas. Specifically, the exhibition area on Party building and achievements in the city's socio-economic fields, recreating the process of Party building, government building, the Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations; introducing achievements in the fields of science - technology, industry - trade, tourism, culture, information, sports, health, social security, agriculture - environmental resources, construction - urban infrastructure, education - training, sovereignty over seas and islands, foreign affairs and international integration.

The second area is the national defense and security area, displaying military equipment and weapons related to the city's defense and security.

The third is the business introduction area, including 130 typical booths, demonstrating the innovative spirit of the business community in the fields of science, high technology, industry, infrastructure, finance, tourism, services, agriculture, forestry, fisheries...

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City affirmed that over the past 50 years, Da Nang City has overcome many difficulties and challenges to develop strongly. From a small city, Da Nang has become one of the leading economic, cultural, social and tourism centers of Vietnam. Therefore, the exhibition "Da Nang - Development and Integration" is an opportunity to review the heroic tradition and be proud of the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of the city have created with their strong will, intelligence, creativity and solidarity. This is also an opportunity to affirm Da Nang City's position as the economic, cultural, social and tourism center in the Central Highlands region on the journey of development and international integration.

On this occasion, the delegation of Military Region 5 Command visited the National Defense and Security exhibition area organized by the Ministry of Military Command, City Police, and Da Nang City Border Guard Command.

The exhibition runs until March 30.
