This is the 8th joint training session of more than 5,200 military officers and soldiers taking place in 4 clusters across the country to continue evaluating results, drawing experience from training work, and serving as a basis for units to continue training forces to participate in parades and marches.
At cluster 1 at National Military Training Center 4, more than 1,900 cadres, soldiers, officers, and militiamen in 2 standing blocks and 14 walking blocks participated in the joint training. Unlike previous joint training sessions, the soldiers all appeared in new military uniforms.
Speaking at the training session, General Phan Van Giang thanked the efforts of the officers and soldiers participating in the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.
General Phan Van Giang said that we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification this time, and the armies of the countries that participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country also asked to join the Vietnam People's Army in attending this parade.
This joy is not only for Vietnam, the Vietnamese people, the heroic Vietnam People's Army, but also for friends around the world. This is something we highly appreciate and acknowledge the contributions of all peace-loving people around the world, not only when we were still at war but now that the country has been at peace after half a century, that sentiment remains intact as it was during the days of resistance. This is something we greatly appreciate.
General Phan Van Giang gave a directive speech.

"Through monitoring, I and my comrades present today are truly proud that your movements are the embodiment of the strength of the Vietnam People's Army, of the militia and self-defense forces, of the armed forces. This is something I really appreciate and acknowledge. It is true that "a hundred people are as one" and we will bring this spirit, this will, this belief so that on the day of victory and this belief, this strength when we accept any task, we are determined as we are practicing today", General Phan Van Giang emphasized.
The time until the anniversary ceremony is not long, General Phan Van Giang requested the forces participating in the parade to continue to actively practice and master the command movements according to the tasks of each block and each force; closely combine training and joint training, overcome all difficulties, take advantage of all time to practice, and strictly follow discipline.
Regarding the task of organizing and commanding the mobilization of forces into Ho Chi Minh City, the Minister of National Defense requested that the command work must be strictly, safely and absolutely ensured. Upon arriving at the assembly location, it is necessary to quickly stabilize the accommodation and prepare for phase 3 training (general training, preliminary review, general rehearsal and official duties).
Besides, the General Department of Logistics and Technology ensures full and comprehensive means and technical equipment for forces participating in parades and marches.
General Phan Van Giang also requested the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to study and consider guiding the emulation content associated with participation in parades and marches; continue to do a good job of ideological work, ensuring the cultural and spiritual life of the forces; organize well the propaganda work on parades and marches, and propose rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
